It took me 17 years to source the pieces to complete this suite, hence one of life’s highlights was seeing this exquisite huon pine bedroom suite restoration completed.

160 years of daylight has oxidised the table to the honey colour it is. Hence preserving the original patina was of paramount importance.

In 37 years this is only the second cheval mirror I have seen in huon pine. I believe there are no known precedents to a mirror of this quality. When I designed this room I intended it to be cool and airy, an ideal room for summer nights.
