As society fluctuates between wanting to bury the past and then wanting to celebrate it, so the antique market cycles. As we enter a period of nostalgia and see all things old, from classic cars to LP records, and all manner of household items become collectable, quality antiques are once again on the rise.

The photo above shows part of a collection of English Victorian-era walnut furniture, the highlight being the piano front davenport writing desk. The fireplace surround is Australian blackwood circa 1920s with Art Nouveau references.
